Gen AI is an incredible piece of tech which presumably gonna change the education system but does it disturb the traditional pyramid approach for education?
In the classic education system, we explore a broad range of subjects before gradually narrowing down to a specific niches as we reach higher and higher in education. This exploration helps for discovering diverse interests and potentials.
If students start specializing too early, are they limiting their opportunities to explore different fields? High-level concepts might overwhelm a 12-year-old without the right guidance, leaving many questions unanswered and now with genai, it’s a different story.
While the potential for early specialization is exciting it might actually create gaps in knowledge and learning. I think there has to be a good balance with ai driven specialization and traditional learning.
